Genetics 101 operates genetics-101.com as a strain showcase. We do not sell products on this site and we do not run user accounts. This page covers the email list and the grow-photo form.

What we collect

Age check. After you click Enter, your browser may store a local 21+ flag on your device. We do not receive that flag.

Newsletter. If you join the quarterly list, we receive the email address you type and the 21+ confirmation. The form is sent through FormSubmit to the Genetics 101 inbox. We use that address to send the quarterly letter. We do not sell it or add it to an ad network.

Grow photos. If you submit a grow, we receive the picture, the strain name, and whatever name or social handle you choose to include. You can submit as anonymous. Before a photo is published, location data and camera data are stripped. A published credit is only what you asked us to show.

Logs. GoDaddy and Cloudflare may log IP address, browser type, and pages requested to run and protect the site. Cloudflare may set security cookies. That processing is described in their own policies.

How photos are used

By sending a photo you confirm you own it and that it was taken where growing that plant is legal for you. You grant Genetics 101 permission to crop, host, and display it on this site for the archive. You can ask us to take it down.

What we do not do

• No sale of personal information.
• No advertising pixels or third-party ad networks on this site.
• No payment data. There is no checkout.

21+

This site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. If a submission looks like it came from a minor, it is deleted.

Removal

To leave the list, reply to a letter or message @Genetics101va on X and say remove. To take down a photo, message the same account with the page URL. Hosting logs are held by GoDaddy and Cloudflare, not in a database on this site.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
